Junior Cloud Engineer

Localyse is looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer to join its team. As a Cloud Engineer, your task consists of transforming the way companies work by building solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

You’ll work in close collaboration with the customer to understand their business needs and lead them towards the cloud.

You are responsible for

As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you are taking part in activities:

  • Design and implementation of public cloud solutions in coordination with the responsible Senior Cloud Architect
  • Sales support in typical pre-sales activities: customer advice, preparation and implementation of customer-specific presentations and workshops, creation of system design and concepts, implementation of product presentations, support in finding solutions, calculation and offer preparation
  • Actively take on the role of pre-sales engineer in the bid process, providing support in technical and costing issues

Skills and Experience

  • You have completed a higher technical education in IT
  • You have good IT skills (basic knowledge of public cloud services from the three major public cloud providers Microsoft, Amazon and Google is desirable)
  • You can classify a cloud service based on the NIST definition (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • You have experience with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes
  • You value new challenges that you successfully master through a high degree of initiative and willingness to learn
  • You like to work in a team and approach people openly
  • Holistic, networked and solution-oriented thinking is one of your strengths
  • Team player
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
